Door opening for Everton player’s summer exit – Moyes’ decision could lead to concrete offers

by · Sport Witness

Marseille, Real Betis and Getafe are in the picture to sign Everton‘s Adam Aznou in the summer.

The Premier League side signed the left-back from Bayern Munich in July 2025 and he has struggled this season.

He’s yet to make an appearance for Everton in the league as David Moyes has largely left him on the bench, not including him in the squad on a few occasions.

The 19-year-old had to wait until January to make his Toffees debut. That came in their FA Cup loss to Sunderland, and it has been his only appearance for the Merseyside club so far.

Last October, Sport Witness relayed news that he seriously considered leaving Everton in the winter market.

Everton man not short of suitors

Adam Aznou has been going through a difficult phase at Everton, but it hasn’t put off clubs from showing interest in him.

That’s according to Africa Foot, who report the fullback’s profile appeals to Marseille, Real Betis and Getafe. Among these three, the Ligue 1 side are the ‘most persistent suitor’.

Marseille are of the belief he can revive his career in France, while the La Liga duo are keeping a close watch. He has the experience of playing in Spain from his loan spell at Real Valladolid in 2025.

The Spain-born Morocco international’s situation at Everton ‘opens the door’ for a summer transfer. David Moyes’ decision to not hand him minutes could encourage his suitors to submit concrete proposals in the coming weeks.

Aznou’s desire is to get  regular game time next season and he has interested parties. His preference and Everton’s stance on sanctioning a move after this season is not clear yet.

Contract, value and agent info

The Moroccan will have three years left on his contract after this season. His value, as per Transfermarkt, is €7m and it hasn’t changed since he moved to Everton.

Spanish agency Footfeel ISM, headed by agent Alejandro Camaño, are representing Adam Aznou.
