“Would be great” – Winger publicly flirts over transfer to Crystal Palace
by Naveen Ullal · Sport WitnessSilkeborg IF’s Victor Dahl has done a bit of transfer flirting towards Crystal Palace.
Bold cover comments made by the 18-year-old about Crystal Palace when discussing his situation with the Danish club.
The winger is a product of Silkeborg’s academy and was promoted to their U19 side last year. He’s yet to make his senior debut.
According to the report, the Superliga side have a deal with Dahl based on a ‘trainee agreement’.
Silkeborg talent manager Peter Hansen is happy to have agreed the latest deal with the youngster. He will continue with the U19 side, but the club’s plan is to integrate him into first team in the near future.
“The case surrounding Victor is somewhat different than the one we typically see. Victor came to us from the UCS10 classes in Skanderborg. Here he came with great training readiness and a hunger to become better every day,” he said.
“He has since developed a fine technique and willingness to run, which we require here at SIF. Victor is currently attending College360, where he’ll complete his high school diploma while playing football. The hope is that during the agreement he can develop his skills so that over time he can be included in our A-squad.”
The Danish winger insists he wants to showcase his qualities on the pitch. He then talked about Crystal Palace.
Dahl remains hopeful the trainee agreement with Silkeborg can allow him to continue his development so that he can fulfil his wish of joining the Eagles.
“I dream of playing in the Superliga for Silkeborg. If I had to name a club that I’m a fan of, it would be Crystal Palace, it would be great to play for them,” Dahl explained.
There’s no indication of Crystal Palace interest yet. If Dahl impresses in the near future, the Eagles could consider a move.
