Forward has ‘decided to join Manchester United’ – Wants transfer to happen immediately

Manchester United struggled at Old Trafford again on Sunday, losing 2-0 to Crystal Palace and looking toothless in front of goal.

The club have added Patrick Dorgu at the back, yet it’s in attack they’re looking the most in need right now.

Sky Deutschland’s Florian Plettenberg now reports Manchester United are pushing ahead to sign Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich.

Tottenham had been keen on the player earlier in the week after he reversed his decision and decided he wanted to leave Bayern for more minutes elsewhere.

Spurs then agreed a package worth around €60m with Bayern Munich, only for Tel to decide against the switch. It was odd for Tottenham to allegedly agree to pay so much without checking whether Tel was up for it.

Plettenberg claims Tel ‘has decided to join Manchester United’ and he wants to do so immediately. There are concrete negotiations ongoing with the Bundesliga club, but the first Red Devils approach has been knocked back.

Manchester United submitted a loan offer, which was rejected because Bayern want an obligation to buy or a straight permanent transfer.

The 19 year old has failed to find the back of the net in just under 500 minutes of action this season, spread over 14 appearances. Last season he scored 10 times in 41 matches.
