by · Sport Witness

As the Italian and Argentine media make it sound like Alejandro Garnacho is on the verge of leaving Manchester United, and the Spanish media insist Antony’s exit to Real Betis is now imminent, up pops up Catalan newspaper Sport with a Marcus Rashford update.

Sport reiterate Barcelona are looking to loan Rashford for the rest of the season, but they need to make some room in their version of PSR first.

According to the report on Tuesday evening, a meeting was held in Lisbon today regarding Rashford. Barcelona officials met the forward’s agents in the Portuguese city.

Barcelona are playing Benfica in the Champions League this evening, hence the meeting being in Lisbon.

At the meeting it was made clear to Rashford’s agents that Barcelona remain interested but are unable to go through with the deal at this moment in time.

Rashford’s preference is said to be Barcelona, but Sport explain he’s becoming a little impatient. If there’s no movement in the next few days then it’s stated the player’s camp will more seriously open up to other options.

There’s constant contact between the parties and Eric Garcia is seen as a potential solution. Girona are keen on the defender and should that move happen then the Rashford loan may be possible.
