‘Complications arise suddenly’ – West Ham blocking player’s deadline exit
by Naveen Ullal · Sport WitnessTottenham Hotspur and Leicester City are among the clubs to have shown interest in West Ham United goalkeeper Mads Hermansen.
On January 21st, Bold reported Spurs explored the possibility of signing the 25-year-old on loan. As a part of the deal, Tottenham plan to allow Antonín Kinský join West Ham.
Hermansen hasn’t had a good run at West Ham since joining them from Leicester City in August 2025.
He’s conceded 11 goals and kept one clean sheet from four Premier League matches this season. The Denmark international hasn’t featured for West Ham in the league since Nuno Espírito Santo took charge in September.
A fresh report from Bold now looks at Tottenham and Leicester City interest, and covers West Ham’s stance.
A swap deal with Tottenham involving Hermansen and Kinský is no longer on the cards. That’s because the Spurs man isn’t keen on joining the Hammers. This allows other clubs including Leicester City to sign him on deadline day.
According to the report, the Championship side have a ‘strong interest’ in bringing him back to the King Power Stadium on Monday.
The 25-year-old Dane is also keen on moving elsewhere, at least on loan, to try and play regularly. He needs this to maintain hope of making it to the World Cup, if Denmark were to qualify for the tournament.
Bold claim there are several clubs willing to bet on the West Ham player immediately. He has suffered a setback in his desire to leave as ‘complications have suddenly arisen.’
The report explains West Ham are no longer interested in sanctioning a loan move late in the window.
This means Hermansen will finish this season at the London club. The situation can only change if there’s a new twist in the next few hours.
