Eintracht Frankfurt are close to completing a deal to sign Arnaud Kalimuendo from Nottingham Forest, on loan.

That’s according to Sky Germany. They report that Eintracht Frankfurt have reached an agreement with Nottingham Forest for the striker. He will join on loan with an option to buy.

According to their information, a deal is now in place for Kalimuendo, and he will undergo a medical examination this week.

Reports this week have indicated that Kalimuendo was at the top of Frankfurt’s transfer list after loaning Elye Wahi to Nice.

A report on the 29th of December stated that talks were already underway with Nottingham Forest over the striker. It was then reported that Marinakis was leading the talks, before it was then claimed that there was confidence a deal could be done this week.

Now it appears the deal has been done. Sky report that an agreement over a loan deal is in place. In fact, a medical examination is expected to take place at some point this week.

That will bring a swift exit from the City Ground for Kalimuendo. He only joined in a €30m deal from Stade Rennais in the summer transfer window. The 23-year-old has struggled since then, with just two goals in 13 games this season.
