Weather looks a big problem for Nottingham Forest in transfer pursuit

There are suggestions in the Turkish media Fenerbahçe that Youssef En-Nesyri would turn down a move to Nottingham Forest.

The Morocco international has been linked with a transfer to the Premier League side in the past 24 hours. It’s been claimed the English club want to loan the 28-year-old as they look to improve their attacking options.

Journalist Sercan Hamzaoğlu reports on Nottingham Forest’s interest in En-Nesyri, but it’s not good news. The journalist believes that if the chance if offered, it may well be rejected.

Hamzaoğlu says if En-Nesyri were to leave Fenerbahçe then he would be looking to play in a warmer country than England. The centre forward was previously at Sevilla before his transfer to the Super Lig side.

A possible option for the Moroccan would be a move to Saudi Arabia following reports last summer there was interest.

At the time we covered reports Fulham were in the mix to sign him, but faced competition from An-Nasyri. A move to the Saudi Pro League has continued to be reported in the Turkish press.

Rewind to 2023, and West Ham United were snubbed because the forward didn’t play in ‘the cold of London’.

En-Nesyri has made 25 appearances this season, scoring eight goals. He’s contracted to Fener until June 2029.
