Leeds United player proposed directly by agency – Meeting last Thursday at club offices

Leeds United star Junior Firpo has been offered to Lazio, with a meeting held last Thursday at the club’s offices over him.

That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, who report that Firpo is set to leave Leeds on a free transfer this summer and is being proposed around Europe by his agency.

Firpo has played a key role in Leeds’ promotion back to the Premier League, with four goals and 10 assists in 32 games in the Championship, meaning his stock is higher than it’s ever been.

His agents, the You First agency, are using that to their advantage and shopping the 28-year-old defender around to various suitors. Lazio are one of those he’s been proposed to.

Indeed, they held a meeting last Thursday with sports director Angelo Mariano Fabiani at the club’s Formello offices. This meeting was likely just a general meeting to explore various options, but its well-known Lazio are looking for new full backs. Firpo is currently very popular after his season with Leeds.

The Italian side have to wait, though, as they need to determine what’s happening with potential exits first. The key one for Firpo would be Nuno Tavares, but there is also Luca Pellegrini. If one or both were to leave, a move for the Leeds star would make more sense.
