West Ham transfer acceleration backed up – Player could be gone just after Christmas

That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport. They provide their take on the Füllkrug situation after reports in Germany pushed it forward today.
Sky Germany claimed that Milan had now submitted an official offer for Füllkrug after weeks of being linked with a move. It appeared they were accelerating their efforts get him.
Gazzetta back this summer. They report that the Rossoneri management is working to reach a definitive agreement with West Ham for the striker. They want a loan with an option to buy for €13-15m.
West Ham are demanding a mandatory transfer but Füllkrug is pushing for a move to Milan. His intention is to move there when the team returns from Saudi Arabia. According to the newspaper, matters have moved to such an extent that he is ‘practically a Rossoneri player’.
The final details are yet to be finalised by Milan are in contact and there is confidence West Ham will not put up ‘excessive resistance’ for the German striker. The expectation is that a deal can be done so Füllkrug arrives on January 2nd, when the winter transfer window opens.
The idea is that he will head to Milan in the next few days, after the Milan team return from Saudi. It could perhaps be left until after Christmas. That would allow him to undergo a medial and begin settling in slowly at his new club.
West Ham would prefer an obligation to buy or a buyout conditional on the achievement of certain objectives for Milan. The Italian side are remaining firm that they won’t commit for the future.
It’s that aspect which is holding up a final agreement. But Füllkrug is pushing for the move and that is expected to ensure Milan get what they want, and soon.
