Package being built for Wolves player – Transfer assist to Nottingham Forest loan efforts

by · Sport Witness

David Møller Wolfe joined Wolves from AZ Alkmaar in August 2025. The full-back hasn’t been one of the club’s most prominent players this season, and has lost status since Rob Edwards arrived.

He could now take part in a transfer which would allow Kostas Tsimikas to move to Nottingham Forest.

The Norwegian has played 16 times in all competitions also has two goals and three assists. Despite that, he didn’t feature for a single minute in the last two league games. His last Premier League start came against Brentford a month ago.

DajeRomaTV today cover AS Roma’s interest in signing the Wolves left-back.

They believe that a move is ‘taking shape’ with the Italian club drawing up a strategy for a transfer.

AS Roma see Møller Wolfe as a ‘modern-day’ full-back and he’s liked for his versatile nature. This is because he can also effectively play at wing-back, which is what manager Gian Piero Gasperini wants for his system.

The Wolves player’s arrival can spark Kostas Tsimikas’ return to Liverpool. He would effectively act as a replacement for the Greek, who has attracted attention from Nottingham Forest.

Wolves exit would make Nottingham Forest arrival easier

Roma signing the Wolves player would make it easier for Tsimikas to join Nottingham Forest on loan. The Liverpool owned player hasn’t had a great time under Gasperini.

That isn’t a great negative upon his shoulders, given the manager has gone through many players he doesn’t feel suit his system.

No contact has been made yet for Møller Wolfe. The only hinderance in the deal is likely to be his current deal at Molineux, which runs out in 2030. This makes the deal ‘complex but not impossible’.

Despite that, Roma continue to monitor the defender on a daily basis. Wolves paid €11.5m to sign the Norwegian in the summer.
