Manchester United said to be getting just €2m for exit – Agents at restaurant to finalise move

Real Betis’ board have met today with Antony’s agents to seal his loan move from Manchester United.

That’s according to El Chiringuito TV, who report that the two clubs are working on the final details of the January loan deal.

The outlet tweets this information alongside a video of the various men meeting at a restaurant, presumably where they discussed the transfer from Manchester United.

Journalist Alvaro Jiménez adds his information to this matter, reporting that the deal will be a straight loan and not include a buying option for Betis.

“It will be a no-buy session,” he said.

“Betis will pay about €2m for the player’s salary and a session that will have no cost for the green and white team, except if the footballer does not participate in a certain number of games.

“Villarreal also wanted him and offered more, but the Brazilian wants to play for Betis. They are also looking for a striker in the winter market.”

He, like El Chiringuito, is now convinced that Antony will be joining Manuel Pellegrini’s side sooner rather than later.

The Brazilian will be the first of what appears to be several exits on the cards at Old Trafford this month as Ruben Amorim looks to reshape his squad. Napoli are also reportedly on the verge of a deal for Alejandro Garnacho.

The hope, with Antony at least, will be that he can impress enough in Spain to convince another club to sign him permanently in the summer transfer window.

The forward, meanwhile, will be hoping that he can kick-start his career after what can only now be described as a disastrous time at Manchester United.
