‘The Night Agent’s’ next season will be its last
The spy thriller is one of Netflix's most watched shows

Debuting on the streaming service in 2023, Gabriel Basso starred as Peter Sutherland, an FBI operative who covers a late night emergency line, who become drawn into a mission to uncover a mole within the highest echelons of power.
The first season was a big hit for Netflix, becoming the third most-viewed debuting series in just a few days. A second season followed in 2025, while season three concluded in February.
Now, Netflix’s official news site Tudum has announced that the show will conclude with season four. The broadcast giant have promised to give the beloved hero “will give the hero the action-packed send-off he deserves.” In an official statement, the show’s creator, Shawn Ryan, revealed he has been planning the finale for a long time.
“Ever since the initial success of The Night Agent, I’ve been obsessed with eventually delivering a proper and thrilling conclusion to the show and to Peter Sutherland’s journey,” he said.
“I’m so grateful to Netflix and Sony Pictures Television for partnering with me on The Night Agent and for giving us the space to deliver a definitive final season to our worldwide legion of fans.”

As for what viewers can expect, he promised: “We are hard at work to complete our story and to make our final season one our fans will never forget.”
The Night Agent season three opened with Peter is called to track a treasury agent in Istanbul, but over the course of the season, it emerged that the corruption surrounding a terrorist attack, and a dark money network, goes all the way up to the President Of The United States.
