Chasing a target of 176, Delhi needed 15 runs off the final over when Miller hit 16 runs off three balls to guide Delhi to victory with a ball to spare!
Earlier, after they were reduced to 18/3 in the first three overs by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, it was KL Rahul and Stubbs who helped Delhi Capitals fight back. Bhuvneshwar sent back Pathum Nissanka, Karun Nair and Sameer Rizvi in his first two overs. In the first innings, Royal Challengers Bengaluru slumped from 99/1 to 175/8, losing steam in the second half of their innings in their IPL 2026 clash against Delhi Capitals. A measure of how laboured their batting got at the end was that they managed just eight runs while losing two wickets in the final two overs.

Just days after he could not guide Delhi home against Gujarat, David Miller has dragged them home to victory over RCB in another final-over thriller. Last time, Miller's decision to not take a single off the penultimate ball was criticised after their one-run defeat to Gujarat. Today, there was no such slip up as Miller hit two fours and a six in three consecutive balls to take Delhi home with one ball to spare.
Speaking after the game, Miller said: "Feels really good. After that game the other night, was a disappointing game, but to get it done today feels good. It's always going to be at the back of the mind till you win another game. Mentally just trying to stay in the moment and do what I can. They bowled six yorkers to me and I couldn't really get going but chuffed it came off in the last six overs."
When asked about his chat with Tristan Stubbs, he said: "We wanted to try and finish it in the second-to-last over always, but with as many runs needed, we knew we needed 1-2 sixes. So we just tried to limit the dot balls and take the boundary balls. There were lot of breaks in the game so our minds were a bit all over the place. When I walked out, Stubbo said to me to keep the intensity really hard and that helped. Always good finishing off games with Stubbo and he just said 'thank you so much, you saved me there'. For him being there was massive for us."

Josh Hazlewood, who was recovering from multiple injuries since November 2025, took to the field after a hiatus of 151 days during RCB's match against Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati last week.
"I think this time around it was quite a long time out of the game. It was tough being at home doing rehab while cricket is going on, in particular an Ashes and a World Cup. So, I was keen to get back as soon as I could for IPL, but at the same time not rush it," Hazlewood said on the eve of the match against Delhi Capitals here.
Hazlewood said he did try to make a comeback during the final phase of the Ashes or the T20 World Cup earlier this year.
"It wasn't a stress fracture. But I think just the hamstring first, followed by, you know, tendon. It wasn't Achilles, it was sort of the FHL tendon next to it, and then a torn calf. So, just a few things crept in.
"I think mostly through probably trying to rush back a little bit, trying to make it to the fourth or fifth Ashes Test or the World Cup. But it's probably just that respect injuries, particularly once you're at the wrong side of 30s. It's just about respecting that time frame or the time that it takes to get back. And playing at this intensity (in the IPL) I think is obviously quite high.
"So, that's sort of how we've planned - to miss the first two (matches) and then play a game (vs RR), and then obviously game four was so quickly back up to miss that and then play again (vs LSG). So fingers crossed, our schedule is pretty good now," he added.

RCB vs DC IPL 2026 Live Score: Hazlewood explains why bowlers are under less pressure
Royal Challengers Bengaluru pacer Josh Hazlewood said teams' search for big totals in the IPL could work in favour of bowlers as even a little quiet passage can upset the batters' rhythm and focus.
The 200-mark has been breached 21 times in 24 matches in the IPL so far, often batters putting bowling attacks to the sword.
"I think it's definitely nice for the crowds to watch balls flying into the stands. From a bowler's point of view, it almost takes the pressure off a little bit because the batsmen are expected to get off to good starts," Hazlewood told reporters ahead of RCB's home match against Delhi Capitals on Saturday.
"They're expected to score big runs, they're expected to get 230 runs probably every T20 innings they play." The Australian quick said if the bowlers can stifle the batters even for a short passage, it can add pressure on them, eventually leading to a wicket or two.
"So, if you can get a batter two off six balls, the pressure that they're under in that situation is huge. You can just see a player almost melt out there in the middle, they just cannot find the gap, cannot find the boundary.
"I feel like that's the biggest pressure in the game now. So I think it almost releases the pressure (on bowlers) a little bit," he said.
But Hazlewood conceded that operating in the Power Play has grown into a bigger challenge because of the newfound aggression of batters.
"The power play I feel is probably the hardest time to bowl now. I feel like that's a really difficult part and it's probably just getting the balance right between trying to get the batter out and trying to restrict him," he said.
"It is as opposed to maybe five years ago when you could really just settle in and try and get him out for the majority of the six overs. So, the game's always changing. It's a nice challenge to have I think."
