India won the toss and elected to field first vs West Indies in the fourth T20I at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

India will look to seal the five-match T20I series when they face West Indies in the fourth T20I at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Wednesday. India won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Shreyas Iyer’s side lead 2-1 after a 14-run win in Indore, where Abhishek Sharma’s blistering 69 off 30 balls and Arshdeep Singh’s three-wicket haul proved decisive. The hosts are likely to persist with the same combination that worked in Indore, though there is growing talk of bringing Kuldeep Yadav back into the XI given Hyderabad’s conditions.

India vs West Indies 4th T20I Live Match Scorecard

West Indies, who levelled the series in Ranchi with a record chase powered by Shai Hope’s unbeaten 102, will back their batting firepower to keep the contest alive and force a decider in Bengaluru.

Dew could play a role in the second half, with humidity rising to around 68% at night, making the toss crucial. West Indies will be hoping Romario Shepherd is fit to return after missing the Indore game with a niggle, as his presence would add depth to both departments. With both sides boasting deep line-ups and the series having already produced towering totals, another high-scoring thriller is on the cards.

IND vs WI 4th T20I Live: Expensive over from Mayank Yadav

Mayank Yadav again. FIVE WIDES to start the over. Bouncer banged in, but it gets big elevation this time to beat a leaping Sanju Samson for five extras. Another bouncer over Shai Hope's head, and it's been deemed a NO BALL this time. SIX! A free hit and Hope finds a meaty connection as the ball sails deep into the stands at cow corner. FOUR MORE! Leg byes, so nothing is going Mayank's way at the moment. Fuller length, dangling down the leg and races to the fence off Hope's pads. This over is only getting bigger with Mayank bowling a WIDE. 9-ball over finally comes to an end. 20 off it.

Arshdeep Singh is into the attack from the other end. SIX! After playing five deliveries, of which four were dots in the opening over, Andrew opens his arm and heaves Arshdeep's length delivery to deep mid-wicket for the first maximum of the innings. One ball later, he goes for another lofted shot, this time over mid-on to get a FOUR! Third FOUR off the over as Andrew places the yorker-length delivery through cover. Big over for the guests, 17 off it.

IND vs WI 4th T20I Live: Captains during toss

Shreyas Iyer: We are going to bowl first. [On the relaid surface and the reason for bowling first] Yeah, exactly, that's one of the major reasons. We have a fair idea about how it's playing in the first innings. So based on that, we took this decision. [On the groundsman's assessment of the pitch and the expected conditions] He said that it's 75% red and 25% black and we've played on such wickets before. But obviously looking at the conditions and dew not coming into play, it is going to be a little bit of intense and see there's going to be bounce as well to offer because I saw the surface. It's pretty hard. We're going with the same team.

Shai Hope: We would have fielded as well. It's a must-win game, so we need to pull this one back. We need to give a foundation, just being clear about how we want to go. We have to wait and see, looks good. Needs to be open-minded. Two changes for us - Pooran and Sampson are out, Romario and Jewel Andrew are in.

His numbers are glittering at one drop. In 21 innings, he averages 43.40 at a strike rate of 150.69 with two centuries to his name. “You will get to bat in the powerplay. You don’t have any expectations; you can swing well. So, every batsman enjoys playing that role,” Tilak explains. (READ MORE)
