UFC Vegas 105 weigh-in results: Daniel Santos fails to show up, another fighter badly misses weight

Ahead of UFC Vegas 105, 25 of the 26 competitors stepped on the scale ahead of the Fight Night card, and while most were successful, not all fighters made weight — or even stepped on the scale.

Daniel Santos did not weigh in for his scheduled matchup with Davey Grant during Friday’s weigh-ins. UFC play-by-play announcer Brendan Fitzgerald went on to announce that Santos suffered a “medical issue” and the fight was cancelled. Grant made weight at 135.5 pounds.

UFC Vegas 105 takes place Saturday at the UFC APEX.

Headliners Josh Emmett and Lerone Murphy made weight without issue for their featherweight clash. Emmett was the first fighter on the scale, weighing in at 146. Murphy made weight for his second UFC main event not long after at 145.5 pounds.

Additionally, Cortavious Romious missed weight by over three pounds as he seeks his first UFC victory.

The 2024 Contender Series contract winner stepped on the scale less than 10 minutes into the official UFC Vegas 105 weigh-ins on Friday, and weighed in at 139.5 pounds — 3.5 pounds over the bantamweight limit — ahead of his fight against Chang Ho Lee. The 30-year-old Lee successfully made weight at 136 pounds for his sophomore UFC outing. The fight will go on as scheduled with Romious forfeiting 20 percent of his purse.
