Paul vs. Chavez Jr. took place June 28 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. Jake Paul (12-1) and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (54-7-1, 1 no-contest) squared off in the the main event clash. The fight aired live on pay-per-view on DAZN.

Round 1: National anthems are performed before fighters walk out. 39-year-old Chavez Jr. is first to enter the ring. Paul now makes his way to the squared circle for his 13th pro bout, heavily booed by the crowd. They meet in the center of the ring and crowd goes nuts chanting for Chavez Jr.

Fight starts and Paul appear much larger than Chavez Jr. Paul misses a left to the body. Paul jabs from afar. Again and again, but don’t connect. Chavez Jr. patiently circle around the ring. Paul lands a right to the body. Crowd boos as Paul lands jabs and Chavez Jr. stares at him. Paul lands a massive right hand. Chavez Jr. not doing much in the first round, of anything. Round 2: Paul opens with a couple of jabs, and four more before throwing a right. Referee calls for time to clean Paul’s face. Fight resumes and Chavez Jr. finally throws something — a jab. Paul goes for the body now and Chavez Jr. complains of a low blow but referee won’t agree. Chavez Jr. finally throwing something now. Paul makes him pay with a good right hand, and more jabs. Chavez Jr. goes in now and connects a good combo. Paul lands another good right hand to the head, and Chavez Jr. starting to get in the fight — finally. Round 5: Chavez Jr. smiles as round begins. Paul jabs. And more. And lands a right to the head, and a one-two to the body. Chavez Jr. goes for a right hook and they clinch. Paul jabs and follows with a right hand before Chavez Jr. tries something. Paul with a one-two to the body, and Chavez Jr. connects a low blow for a brief half in the action. Fight resumes, and Paul lands form afar. And a short uppercut. They close in and a little clash of heads there. Round 6: Chavez Jr.’s corner tells him in between rounds that Paul has nothing left for him. Five rounds later, Paul appears to comfortably move towards a decision victory tonight.
