Black Princesses beat South Korea 3-1 to revive World Cup hopes

Ghana started well and created an early chance through Agnes Yeboah, but her effort was saved by the goalkeeper.
The Princesses continued to push for the opening goal before half-time, but they could not find the breakthrough as the first half ended goalless.
Ghana took the lead in the 52nd minute when captain Sarah Nyarko scored with a fine long-range strike.
Ivy Osei Owusu doubled Ghana’s lead three minutes later with a solo effort from the right side before chipping the ball over the goalkeeper.
Substitute Ruth Amponsah added Ghana’s third goal in the 84th minute after a good team move from the centre-half.
South Korea scored a late consolation goal in added time, but Ghana held on to win 3-1.
The Black Princesses will now turn their attention to their final group game against France on September 12, 2026.
