Godwin Attram appointed Black Stars assistant coach
by Ayeh Offei-Akoto · MyNewsGh.comThe Ghana Football Association (GFA) has appointed former Ghana international Godwin Attram as Assistant Coach of the senior national team, the Black Stars.
Attram replaces Desmond Ofei, who will now focus fully on his role as Head Coach of the Black Meteors, Ghana’s U23 national team.
The appointment is part of the GFA’s technical changes as the Black Stars prepare for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and other international assignments.
Attram, a former Black Stars midfielder, brings experience as both a player and a coach.
The former PSV Eindhoven and Silkeborg IF playmaker previously coached Great Olympics and has also worked with several of Ghana’s national youth teams.
He is known for his work in developing young players and his modern approach to football.
Ofei previously combined his Black Stars role with his duties as Head Coach of the Black Satellites and later the Black Meteors.
He will now focus fully on the U23 team as they prepare for the next Olympic Games qualifiers.
