In a recent TikTok post, she expressed gratitude to her friends, community in Ebute-Metta, Lagos, and her church, who supported Imisi during her time on the reality show.
She also addressed personal grievances that have surfaced since her daughter’s victory and denied accusations that she neglected Imisi before the show.
“I want to sincerely appreciate all those who stood by me during Imisi’s time on Big Brother. My friends, everyone in Ebute-Metta, the church, I am so grateful. I am at my younger one’s place in Ajah, some people do not want us to come and visit them,” she said.

“…people who said I did not take care of my child, thank you all for what you said. I was running around to ensure that my daughter wins, that she should become someone in life, so that she can take me, her mother, out of poverty.
“…she said she does not want to see me wherever she is, is it that serious? There is still a lot to talk about.”
Adding to her grievances, she claimed she was sidelined during the finale of the show.

“On the day of the BBNaija finale, I was not even told that it was the final. It was around few minutes to 4 pm that they called me to start dressing up, and that I should wear something presentable. I was even taken somewhere else initially,” she said.
During her time on the show, Imisi spoke about her strained relationship with her parents, revealing that they sent her out of the house when she was 12, a traumatic event that led to her being raped in a church storeroom where she had sought shelter.
