Masomere joins Division One side Hard Rock less than 48 hours after Triangle United exit
KWEKWE – Veteran gaffer Luke Masomere has joined Central Region Division One side Hard Rock FC as the club’s Technical Director, the Kwekwe based outfit announced on its social media platforms on Wednesday.
· Nehanda Radio“Hard Rock Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Luke ‘Vahombe’ Masomere as Technical Director, effective immediately.
“As the Technical Director, he will be heading up the technical team and providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery,” the club wrote.
The appointment comes less than 48 hours after Masomere was sacked by top light side Triangle United due to poor results.
Reacting to his new role, Masomere said: “I feel very much honored to be here. I promise to meet the targets set by the club, and I will work very hard to achieve them. I won’t do it alone, we are going to do it as a team.”

He added: “The players will play their part, and we as the technical team will also play ours, along with the executive and the sponsor. It’s a collective effort. I believe we will work well together and produce the desired results.”
The ambitious Hard Rock side is targeting promotion to the Premier Soccer League in its first season in Division One.
Masomere has coached clubs in Botswana and Zimbabwe including How Mine, Border Strikers, Shabanie Mine, Mutare City Rovers, ZPC Kariba and Manica Diamonds.
In 2018, he was named coach of the year in the Zifa Eastern Region after going a whole season without defeat with Manica Diamonds Football Club in the year they were formed.
Interestingly he started calling himself ‘His Excellency, The Doctor Of Football’ after guiding Manica Diamonds into the premiership without a defeat.
Manica totalled a record of 82 points in their maiden season in the Eastern Region Division One League in which they did not lose a match.
