2025 World Series Odds: Dodgers Become Larger Favorite as Series Shifts to L.A.

The Dodgers blew past the Yankees in the 2024 World Series, winning 4-1 to earn their second title in the past five years.

Will L.A. make it three in six years? Will Toronto win its first title since the early 90s?

The defending champion Dodgers entered Game 1 of the World Series having won nine of 10 games in the postseason — but they lost their second on Friday night.

After taking a 2-0 lead over the Blue Jays in the third inning, Toronto tied the game in the fourth inning via a two-run blast by Daulton Varsho off of Blake Snell.

The Jays then exploded in the sixth inning, scoring nine off of Snell, Emmet Sheehan and Anthony Banda, highlighted by an Addison Barger grand slam.

Despite the defeat, the Dodgers were still the favorite to win the series, as their odds moved from -215 to -120.

In Game 2, L.A. showed up and left with a 5-1 win behind a second-straight complete game from Yoshinobu Yamamoto in a game he started.

Yamamoto gave up one run in the third inning, but that was it. He ended the game allowing four hits and striking out eight.

Game 3 will go down Monday in Los Angeles.
