2026 World Cup Bracket: Live Look At Semifinals Matchups

The knockout stage at the 2026 FIFA World Cup is quickly moving along, and the semifinals of the biggest World Cup ever are already on the horizon. 

One of the semifinal matchups will be a match between two of soccer's powerhouses. France and Spain will go head-to-head in the first semifinal match on Tuesday. The matchup will feature the two teams ranked in the top two spots in FIFA's live rankings.  

In the other semifinal, we now know that England has advanced. The Three Lions took down Norway in extra time, giving the men's team their fourth-ever semifinal appearance at the World Cup.

As we're three-quarters through the quarterfinals, here's a live look at the semifinal matchups and a peek ahead at what the final might look like.

Tuesday, July 14

Dallas Stadium (3 p.m. ET, FOX, FOX One)

Two of Europe's powerhouses will go head-to-head in the semifinals. 

France advanced to the semifinals for the third straight World Cup on Thursday, when it took down Morocco in the quarterfinals, 2-0. Kylian Mbappé and Ousmane Dembélé scored for France. Mbappé has reached the semifinals in all three of his World Cup appearances. Now, he's seeking to reach the finals in each of his first three World Cup appearances. 

Spain, meanwhile, is back in the semifinals for the first time since it won the World Cup in 2010. It outlasted Belgium in Friday's quarterfinals matchup, winning 2-1. Mikel Merino was the hero again for Spain as well, scoring in the 88th minute to give his side the lead. He also scored the game-winning goal in stoppage time of Spain's win against Portugal. 

The France-Spain matchup will feature the teams ranked in the top two spots of FIFA's live rankings. France and Spain will go head-to-head on Tuesday, July 14 at 3 p.m. ET in Dallas Stadium. 

Wednesday, July 15

Atlanta Stadium (3 p.m. ET, FOX, FOX One)

England has advanced to the semifinals at the World Cup for the fourth time in the federation's history, defeating Norway in extra time in the quarterfinals. Jude Bellingham scored a brace in England's 2-1 victory, helping the Three Lions get their second semifinal appearance at the World Cup in three tournaments. 

England will take on the winner of Saturday's Argentina-Switzerland match on Wednesday, July 15 at 3 p.m. ET in Atlanta Stadium.
