Champions League Round Of 16: Real Madrid to face Atletico, PSG vs Liverpool set

Real Madrid will square off against Atletico Madrid in the Round of 16 of the Champions League while Liverpool will face a tricky test against PSG. Bayern Munich will take on their Bundesliga title rivals Bayer Leverkusen in the Round of 16.

Real Madrid will take on Atletico Madrid while Arne Slot's Liverpool will face Paris Saint-Germain in the Round of 16 of the Champions League as the draw took place on Friday, February 21. Bayern Munich have their work cut out as they will face Bundesliga rivals Bayer Leverkusen in the Round of 16. Barcelona will go up against Benfica, who they had faced in the group stages and played out a thriller.

Feyenoord, who knocked out AC Milan, will now face Inter in the Round of 16. Arsenal will take on the high-flying PSV Eindhoven, who knocked out Juventus in the playoff round. Aston Villa face Club Brugge while Borussia Dortmund will take on French side Lille in the next round.

Madrid made it to the Round of 16 after thrashing Manchester City and will now face Atletico, who they beat in the 2014 and 2016 Champions League finals. Liverpool finished at the top of the league and skipped the playoff round, where PSG thrashed Brest 10-0 on aggregate.

The quarterfinals and semi-finals were also set with the winner of the PSG and Liverpool contest facing either Brugge or Villa. Arsenal could face either Atletico or Real in the quarterfinals if they beat PSV.

The Round of 16 matches will take place on March 4 and 5 and then 11 and 12. The quarterfinals are set to take place on April 8-9 and April 15-16 across 2 legs. The final of the Champions League will happen on May 31.
