Kolkata Knight Riders captain Ajinkya Rahane asked his team to stay positive after the three-time champions lost their fourth game of the season. KKR's loss to the Chennai Super Kings meant that they are officially off to their worst start in the history of the competition, as they remain winless in the first five games.

Speaking after the match, Rahane said that they will have to sit in the dressing room and reassess the team combination as they look to shake things up and arrest their winless run this season. KKR were outplayed on Tuesday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, as they failed to chase down a target of 193 runs.

"I think, combination-wise, we thought the combination which we had last game and this was really good. I think it's tough at the moment. Yes, we're not winning matches, it's tough. What is important for all of us as a group is to stay positive, keep our head up, keep our chin up, just focus on the moment," Rahane told the broadcaster after the game.

HAVE TO MAKE CHANGES: RAHANE

The loss put further pressure on Ajinkya Rahane, who has not been able to inspire the team to any wins so far. KKR batted woefully on Tuesday, scoring just 36 runs in the powerplay. This put the onus on the middle order, where KKR's woes against spin were exposed once again.

Afghanistan star Noor Ahmad ripped through the team's middle order, dismissing Rahane and Cameron Green in back-to-back balls.

The KKR skipper acknowledged that the team needed a rethink.

"We'll have to sit in the dressing room, think about the combinations. We'll have to make any changes. Sometimes you back the players and the results go your way, then it's okay. But if the results are not going your way, then you'll have to think about the combination. But apart from that, I thought it's all about being positive and keeping our heads up," concluded the experienced campaigner.

After five games, KKR have four losses and one tie, courtesy of a washout against Punjab Kings at the Eden Gardens.
