Abhishek Sharma was delighted at the special tweet from Yuvraj Singh after his brilliant 135 against England and joked that he is glad to see a message from his mentor without a scolding at the end. Abhishek produced an all-round performance for India in the 5th T20I against England as he scored a scintillating hundred and picked up 2 wickets. The best thing about Abhishek's knock was that he stayed till the end to ensure his team got a big score.
Abhishek broke a ton of records during his knock and his mentor Yuvraj was a very happy man. The opener hit 13 sixes and 7 fours during his 54-ball knock as India won the match by 150 runs. The World Cup winner took to X and praised the youngster, claiming that this is where he wanted to see the young batter perform.

Speaking after the match, Abhishek said he was delighted to see a message from Yuvraj that didn't end with a threat of getting 'hit by a chappal.'
"I think this is the first time Yuvraj has tweeted something without adding 'I will send a chappal.' Finally, he is proud of me. So I'm very happy," said Abhishek.
'You will win matches for India'
Abhishek revealed how his mentor backed him and
"Three years ago, when I started working with him, he always told me that, as a player, doubts are natural. But he always reassured me, saying, 'You will be there, and you will perform. You will win matches for India,'" said Abhishek.
The Indian opener also said that Yuvraj always told him that he was preparing him for the long run.
"I remember during our training camp in COVID times, he repeatedly told me, 'don’t think short-term. I’m preparing you for the long run.' Now that things are coming together, I am really happy," said Abhishek.
Abhishek ended up winning the Player Of The Match award for his performance on Sunday.
