Abhishek Sharma's ridiculous power hitting helped India post the biggest-ever total in Mumbai on Sunday, February 2. Playing the final T20I of the 5-match series, Abhishek went berserk and played his best-ever innings in the format.
Abhishek hit a record score of 135 runs, the highest ever by an Indian batter in T20Is. The SunRisers Hyderabad opener outscored his Punjab teammate Shubman Gill, who previously held the record with a score of 126* against New Zealand in 2023.
Abhishek broke a series of records during his innings. In the powerplay, he scored the fastest fifty by an Indian at home, off just 17 balls. Abhishek's incredible hitting ability saw India cross the 100-run mark in just 6.3 overs, the fastest in their T20I history.
The batter continued his sensational display and reached his century in just 37 balls, the second-fastest by an Indian batter after Rohit Sharma.
