New Delhi: Rishabh pant, the left-handed Indian wicketkeeper-batsman, known for his aggressive batting is likely to be left out from the ODI series against the New Zealand.
Rishabh Pant has not played a single game since ODI series 2024 against Sri lanka, although he was named in the ODI series against South Africa, he did not play a single game.
Pant’s exclusion could pave the way for Ishan Kishan’s return to the ODI setup after the Jharkhand cricketer impressed with stellar performances in domestic cricket.
Kishan’s aggressive batting style and ability to score quickly make him an attractive proposition for the Indian team. His last ODI was in October 2023, and he would be looking to make a comeback after more than two years.

Kishan’s latest feat adds to a sensational streak for the left-hander. Only days ago, he was an unexpected call-up to India’s squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup, shortly after captaining Jharkhand to their first-ever Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy triumph.
After missing the South Africa series due to a neck injury, Shubman Gill is ready to return to the ODI team, with the leadership returning to its usual order.
