Bengaluru: The Bengaluru’s Iconic Chinnaswamy Stadium receives green signals from Karnataka Home Ministry to host IPL, International matches after a long period of uncertainty.

The Karnataka state cricket association announced through a press note yesterday that the Karnataka Government has granted permission to host IPL 2026, International matches, and other big matches at Chinnaswamy Stadium.

All the scheduled matches that were expected to be held in Chinnaswamy Stadium were relocated which includes the Duleep Trophy, the India–South Africa A series and ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025.

KSCA has submitted a detailed roadmap to an Expert Review Committee formed by the Karnataka Home Ministry to ensure safety when the stadium is crowded. RCB also took the initiative and proposed an idea to install 300-350 AI-enabled cameras for better monitoring as it can detect the possible threats early.
