Leinster Senior Football Championships
We are guaranteed a new Leinster Senior Football champion for the first time in 15 years this afternoon.
Meath and Louth clash in the provincial final and will renew their rivalry which kicked off in the 2010 Leinster final.
The Royals were successful on that day thanks to a controversial Joe Sherdian goal.
Louth are in their third Leinster final in a row and that game gets underway at Croke Park at 4.15pm.
Meath have already been on the losing side today.
Their Ladies Football team suffered a Leinster final defeat against Dublin.
The Dubs coming out on top by 2-13 to 1-12 at HQ.
Tailteann Cup
Round one of the Tailteann Cup has come to a close this afternoon.
First up, Sligo have beaten Tipperary 2-15 to 2-10 in Tubbercurry
Westmeath opened their account with a Antrim 4-24 to 1-16 win over Antrim while Carlow edged Fermanagh to victory by 3-18 to 2-18.
Connacht Ladies Football final
Galway have the bragging rights and the trophy after beating Mayo in the Connacht Ladies Football Final this afternoon.
Two first half goals helped the Tribeswomen past their neighbours by 2-13 to 9 points in Tuam Stadium.
Joe McDonagh Cup
Laois and Kerry are facing off in round 3 of the Joe McDonagh Cup this afternoon.
The O'Moore County can take a step towards the final with a win over the Kingdom today.

Golf
Shane Lowry is in a tie for the lead ahead of the final round of the Truist Championship on the PGA Tour.
He shot a 4-under-par third round of 67 overnight in Philadelphia which leaves him 14-under all round alongside Sepp Straka.
Rory McIlroy is in a tie for sixth on 8-under-par.
Seamus Power is in a tie for 40th ahead of the final round of the Myrtle Beach Classic.
He'll resume from 4-under-par in South Carolina, nine shots off the lead.
Soccer
Arsenal will become the latest team to give champions Liverpool a guard of honour in the Premier League this afternoon.

The Irish women's 4 x 400m relay team has qualified for the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo later this year.
Sophie Becker, Rhasidat Adeleke, Rachel McCann and Sharlene Mawdsley have won in the repechage in China.
The men's team of Conor Kelly, Cillin Greene, Christopher O'Donnell and Jack Raftery finished in 7th and will not progress to the Worlds.
The mixed relay team also finished in 8th in their final today but were already assured of their place in the World's before the race.
