Gabby Logan shares emotional family moment with husband Kenny that led to huge change
by Danny Gutmann · BristolLiveCelebrated sports presenter Gabby Logan has given fans a glimpse into her personal life, discussing the emotional experience of one of her children leaving for university.
Speaking on the White Wine Question Time podcast, Gabby expressed how much she misses her 19-year-old daughter, Lois, since she started her higher education journey.
Gabby shared: "She's very thoughtful and she's very motivated, very determined. It's interesting what she rings me for, for advice and what she rings Kenny for, for advice.
"It's so obvious what she sees us both as. It's hilarious, actually, because I wonder if she realises that she does that, I'm sure she does. She's great, I miss her a lot when she's not here."
Reflecting on the moment last September when Lois was among the many young individuals embarking on their university life, Gabby recounted the tough drive back home, pondering over her role as a mother: "It really does (hurt). Because, on that journey home, it's about two hours, and I'd built up to it anyway."
"I'd started thinking, being a bit too nostalgic, you start thinking of things, should I have done that better as a parent? Could I have done this bit (better)? Because at that point, you're releasing them aren't you?".
