Raptors drop Game 7 to Cavaliers after third-quarter collapse

The Cleveland Cavaliers made sure of it, knocking off the Raptors 114-102 in Game 7 on Sunday night.
Cleveland outscored Toronto 38-19 in the third quarter, breaking open the game following a 49-49 stalemate through the first half. The Raptors did themselves no favours by committing five turnovers — of their 13 on the night — in the frame. All the while, Cavs big man Jarrett Allen erupted in the quarter, scoring 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting, to go with 10 rebounds and a block. He finished the night with a 22-point, 17-rebound double-double.
The loss marked the Raptors’ 11th consecutive road playoff loss in Cleveland, and dropped them to 3-4 in Game 7s all-time. Toronto is also now 0-4 in playoff series against Cleveland.
As for the Cavaliers, they will now prepare to take on the Detroit Pistons, who also won a Game 7 on Sunday, overcoming a 3-1 series deficit to knock out the Orlando Magic.
The top-seeded Pistons will host the Cavaliers for Game 1 of their second-round series on Tuesday.
