Babar Azam achieved the feat of completing 1,000 runs in ICC ODI events during the Champions Trophy match against India.

Babar Azam became the third Pakistan batter to score 1,000 runs in ICC ODI tournaments during the Champions Trophy 2025 match against India in Dubai. He achieved this milestone in his 24th innings with a classy cover drive off Harshit Rana.

Only Saeed Anwar and Javed Miandad had previously reached this feat for Pakistan and Now Babar Azam.

Azam’s recent form has been inconsistent. He faced criticism for a slow 64 off 90 balls against New Zealand in the tournament opener, as Pakistan fell 60 runs short in a 321-run chase. After being dropped from the Test team, he made a strong comeback in South Africa but struggled at home against West Indies, managing just 45 runs in four innings.
