What is India’s mindset before Women’s World Cup 2025 final?
Speaking to reporters ahead of the Women’s World Cup 2025 final, Harmanpreet said that while India knew how it felt to lose a World Cup, they wanted to experience the feeling of winning one. She said that the team had done all the hard work and that i was all about getting everything right against SAW in the final on Sunday. India Women have never won an ODI World Cup and last reached the finals in 2017 where they lost to England by 9 runs.
“We know how it feels to lose. But we are looking forward to how it feels to win. Hopefully, tomorrow is a special day for us. We have done a lot of hard work and it is only about getting everything done tomorrow for the team,” Harmanpreet said.
India Women have the upper hand heading into the Women’s World Cup 2025 final against SAW, having beaten them on 5 occasions in the marquee tournaments out of seven games. However, they have lost on the last two occasions that they have locked horns with the Proteas. Harmanpreet said that there is no bigger motivation for the side than playing the final, while adding that the team was charged up and that all the players were supporting each other.
“When you are at a stage like a World Cup final, there cannot be any bigger motivation. The team is charged up, players are supporting each other and that shows they are together and how ready we are for this match,” Harmanpreet added.
