The Indian superstar suffered a finger injury while fielding, and for a moment, it seemed like the entire stadium held its breath in the first IPL 2025 match at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The incident happened in the 12th over when Sai Sudharsan unleashed a powerful shot that struck Kohli’s fingers at an alarming rate. Notably, Kohli misjudged the ball somewhat and overran it by a bit. However, Kohli’s reaction was immediate – he clutched his hand in pain, and the physio rushed to his side. The RCB camp and fans worldwide watched anxiously, hoping it wasn’t a serious injury. Fortunately, after a brief examination, Kohli seemed to be okay, and he continued playing, much to everyone’s relief.
