Trade talks are dominating the Indian Premier League (IPL) news sphere. Names like Sanju Samson, KL Rahul, and Kuldeep Yadav are swirling around. With about 2 weeks left before the trade window closes, things will ramp up in the coming times. In international news, BCCI has provided a health update for Shreyas Iyer. Rishabh Pant might return to India’s T20I team. Shubman Gill’s spot as India’s opener in the shortest format has been questioned.

Samson’s Delhi homecoming

Sanju Samson might return to the Delhi Capitals (formerly Delhi Daredevils). The Rajasthan Royals have demanded 2 players from them in exchange for Samson. KL Rahul was one of the players RR wanted, but DC denied it. Regarding Rahul, KKR has also shown interest in acquiring him.

SRH want Kuldeep Yadav

In a surprising move, Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins has reportedly reached out to Delhi Capitals spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who was retained for INR 13.25 crore by DC. Ahead of the IPL 2026 auction, Cummins has urged Kuldeep to explore other options and potentially join SRH.

Gambhir to pick Pant over Samson?

Although Gautam Gambhir had assured Sanju Samson that he won’t be dropped, there’s a chance that he might be dropped from India’s T20I team. After failures in the Asia Cup and Australia series, Samson is under the scanner. If he slips again, Gambhir might bring Rishabh Pant back into the team.
