SKY to fall soon?
The BCCI will take a call on Suryakumar Yadav’s T20I career after the upcoming tours of Ireland and England. India’s captain in the shortest format hasn’t been performing for the Men in Blue since taking over as captain in July 2024, and two other contenders, Shreyas Iyer and Rajat Patidar, are making strong cases to replace him.
Sooryavanshi’s India debut soon
The BCCI is expected to hand a maiden India cap to Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. The 15-year-old could make his international debut against Ireland in late June in Belfast. If Sooryavanshi indeed plays, he’ll break Sachin Tendulkar’s record to become the youngest male debutant in India’s cricket history.
PCB bans IPL bowler
PCB has banned Blessing Muzarabani for 2 years for violating his PSL 2026 contract with Islamabad United. Last month, the Zimbabwean fast bowler decided to join KKR in IPL 2026 as the replacement player for Mustafizur Rahman. Last year, Corbin Bosch was banned for 1 year for doing the same.

Pat Cummins fitness update
Pat Cummins will undergo a fitness test on April 15 in Australia, which will decide his availability for IPL 2026. The SRH captain has already played 5 matches, and if he clears the assessment, he’ll land in Hyderabad on April 17 and feature in SRH’s next home match against CSK on April 18.
IPL match in Adelaide?
Adelaide Oval wishes to host an IPL match at the venue in 2027. The idea is being floated as a reciprocal arrangement, following news that Chennai may host a BBL 2026-27 match. Cricket Australia hasn’t spoken to the BCCI officially yet, but will have a conversation regarding the matter soon.
SRH announce injury replacement
SRH have replaced Brydon Carse with Dilshan Madushanka. The English fast bowler was retained for INR 1 crore and had joined the squad in India, but had been out with injury. Therefore, SRH has signed the left-arm Sri Lankan fast bowler for INR 75 lakh for the remainder of the IPL 2026 season.
