Match officials named for Asia Cup 2025, only two Indians on roster

Umpires Rohan Pandit and Virender Sharma would be the only Indians officiating in the Asia Cup 2025.

So, as the Asia Cup 2025 is just a day away from start, the ACC has gone on to confirm the match officials for all the encounters. The tournament opener will see Afghanistan and Hong Kong clash in Abu Dhabi, followed by India vs UAE on the 10th of September. The match referee team will be led by the experienced duo of Richie Richardson and Andy Pycroft.

The referees for the Super4s will be announced later in the tournament. Meanwhile, the umpires for the tournament include Ahmad Pakteen (Afghanistan), Asif Yaqoob (Pakistan), Faisal Afridi (Pakistan), Gazi Sohel (Bangladesh), Izatullah Safi (Afghanistan), Masudur Rahman (Bangladesh), Raveendra Wimalasiri (Sri Lanka), Rohan Pandit (India), Ruchira Palliyaguruge (Sri Lanka), and Virender Sharma (India).
