Sri Lanka were in a spot of bother with Bangladesh cruising at 100/1 in their chase of 244. Enter Wanindu Hasaranga. The Sri Lankan leg spinner triggered a collapse that left the visitors in tatters in Colombo. After Najmul Hasan Shanto was run out, Hasaranga struck to dismiss Litton Das in his very first over. He followed it up with the wicket of Tanzim Hasan in the same over to leave Bangladesh reeling at 102/4.

Hasaranga then got Bangladesh skipper Mehidy Hasan Miraz for a duck to add yet another scalp to his name. He bowled 6 overs on the ttor, conceding just 5 runs with 2 maiden and 3 wickets.

In the process, he went past 100 ODI wickets for Sri Lanka. He achieved the milestone in just 64 ODIs, the second fastest for a Lankan. Ajantha Mendis still holds the record, having reached the feat in 63 ODIs. Hasaranga took just 1 more game, with his 4fer in the SL vs BAN 1st ODI.

Earlier, Charith Asalanka continued his good form in ODI cricket with a stunning century against Bangladesh on Wednesday. His 106 helped the hosts put on 244, with Asalanka the only batter to score 50 or more.
