Gambhir decided on no handshakes?

In an exclusive chat with InsideSport, Manoj Tiwary shared how he thinks Team India’s refusal to shake hands with Pakistan was wrong. He reasoned that Suryakumar Yadav shook hands with Salman Ali Agha during the Asia Cup captains’ meet, so why not after the match? Manoj hinted that perhaps Gautam Gambhir told the players, as it would have been hypocritical of him to do so after criticising the decision to play against Pakistan in the past.

India qualifies for Super Four stage

Team India has qualified for the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup. After the UAE beat Oman by 42 runs in Abu Dhabi, the Men in Blue went through. This also means that the UAE vs Pakistan match on September 17 will decide who joins India in the Super Four from Group A.

Pakistan to boycott UAE match?

PCB has lodged a complaint with ACC and ICC. The former for Team India refusing to shake hands. The latter is for removing Andy Pycroft as an official for the Asia Cup and has threatened to pull out of the Pakistan vs UAE match. But the ICC isn’t likely to do what the PCB wants.

The BCCI has informed Team India to continue boycotting Pakistan at the Asia Cup. The Men in Blue won’t shake hands with Pakistan if they meet in the Super Four stage. Also, if India qualifies for the Asia Cup final, they won’t share the stage with Mohsin Naqvi, who’s the PCB and ACC head.

India A not needed, say Rohit-Kohli

Aakash Chopra thinks Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli rejected playing for India A against Australia A. The former Indian opener reckons the selectors asked the senior pros whether they were available, but they didn’t wish to play.

Pakistan cricketer mocks Operation Sindoor

Current Pakistan player Aamir Jamal mocked the Indian armed forces after Team India refused the customary post-match greetings with Pakistan. Jamal hinted that Operation Sindoor was a failure and that the Pakistan Air Force got the better of India in the skirmish.
