Veteran Rahul Dravid teamed up with his younger son Anvay Dravid in a club-level match on Saturday.

Rahul Dravid, the legendary former Indian cricketer, recently teamed up with his younger son, Anvay Dravid, in a club match that has captured the hearts of cricket fans. The father-son duo played for Vijaya Cricket Club (Malur) in the Sri Nassur Memorial Shield 3rd Division tournament, organized by the Karnataka State Cricket Association.

Despite being 52 years old, Rahul Dravid’s passion for the game remains undiminished. In this match, their team was put into bat after losing the toss against Young Lions Club. The team posted an impressive total of 345-7 in 50 overs, thanks to a century by Swapnil Yelave, who scored 107 runs. Anvay, who is just 16 years old, showcased his talent by scoring a fiery 58 off 60 balls, while Rahul managed to contribute 10 runs off eight balls.

Anvay Dravid, a wicketkeeper-batsman like his father, has been making waves in the cricketing world. He was the top run-getter in the Vijay Merchant Trophy 2023-24 for Karnataka, scoring 357 runs from five matches at an average of 45 with four fifties. He was also the highest run scorer in the under-14 state league tournament while playing for Vijaya Cricket Club.

Rahul Dravid’s elder son, Samit, has also been successful in age-group tournaments for Karnataka. In the Cooch Behar Trophy last year, Samit scored 362 runs and took 16 wickets in eight matches, helping Karnataka win the title. Samit was named in the India Under-19 team for a series against Australia U19 but could not participate due to a knee injury
