All-rounders SRH should retain ahead of IPL 2026 auction
by Madhav Agarwal · Inside Sport IndiaSunrisers Hyderabad will have to make careful choices, when it comes to IPL 2026 retention.
Despite compiling a decent squad for IPL 2025, all SRH could manage was a sixth place finish. Six wins and seven losses came their way, and this could be the year, where they would like to bring a few changes. The IPL 2026 retention deadline is just a couple of days away, and it will be important to see, what all players does the Hyderabad franchise save.
For now, InsideSport takes a look at the all-rounders that SRH should retain before the IPL 2026 auction.
All-rounders SRH should retain
Abhishek Sharma: He is the new poster-boy of Indian cricket in the T20I format. And it all started with an explosive season with the SRH. So, he is there for sure. He can bowl decently well too, and has 11 wickets to his name in the IPL.
Nitish Kumar Reddy: Again an all-rounder who made it to the Indian team, on the basis of his IPL showing — NKR is a certain retention for SRH. He has scored two fifties in 28 matches, and picked up 5 wickets.
Kamindu Mendis: He isn’t the most explosive batter, or a wicket-taking bowler, but just does the job for the team. If at all SRH is looking to retain another all-rounder, it should be Mendis.
