Sanju Samson hit on Hand

Rajasthan Royals’ captain was hit on the hand by his IPL teammate Jofra Archer in the first over. However, he continued to bat, suggesting that the injury was not serious. He was eventually dismissed for 16 (7) by Mark Wood.

In the second innings, however, the Indian wicketkeeper did not take the field, and Dhruv Jurel took over the wicketkeeping duties. There is a possibility that the management opted to rest Samson as a precautionary measure.

Sanju Samson’s next match

Samson is not part of India’s squad for the Champions Trophy 2025, and his next appearance will be either in the Indian Premier League or the Ranji Trophy. Since the IPL begins in March, he has enough time to recover if the injury is serious.

There is no official update about his injury yet, and the team may provide more details in the press conference.

Sanju Samon’s not so good series

The India vs England series did not go in Samson’s favor, as he failed to score a single fifty in the five-match series. However, he had previously scored two centuries in the last series for India.
