LONDON, June 16 : American great Serena Williams will return to Wimbledon after a four-year absence after being handed a wildcard for the women's doubles by the All England Club on Tuesday.
The 44-year-old winner of 23 Grand Slam singles titles made a comeback this month at the Queen's Club Championships, playing doubles with Canadian Victoria Mboko.
Williams has won seven Wimbledon singles titles and doubles titles alongside older sister Venus, whom she will partner again at this year's Championships.
