BORMIO, Italy, Feb 11 : Switzerland's Franjo von Allmen claimed his third gold medal of the Milano Cortina Games as he powered to victory in the men's super-G on Wednesday, with only a few outsiders still to run.
Von Allmen, who also claimed gold in the downhill and team combined, won by 0.13 seconds from American Ryan Cochran-Siegle, who took silver. Favourite Marco Odermatt finished with a bronze medal, 0.28 seconds behind his teammate.
Von Allmen is the first male Alpine skier to win three golds at the same Olympics since Jean-Claude Killy in 1968.
