How to watch every shot and round from the 2024 Presidents Cup at Royal Montreal throughout the week

The United States has already put a stake in the ground as it seeks to continue a quarter century of dominance this week at the 2024 Presidents Cup in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. While the Americans have hoisted nine straight trophies at this event, the International side has yet to claim a Presidents Cup for itself since 1998. Chances of that streak ending on Sunday lessened greatly after the first five matches of play.

Ultimately, whether there was going to be a shift depended entirely on how a younger U.S. team performed against a more experienced host that should have fan sentiment on its side. Early returns are not great for the Internationals, though, as the Americans completed just the seventh sweep of a Presidents Cup round in event history on Thursday by taking a nearly insurmountable 5-0 lead with 25 matches left to play. The U.S. now only needs to win 40% of the remaining contests despite being favored int he vast majority of them.

The U.S. boasts Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele, the top two players in the world at the conclusion of the 2024 season. While Schauffele has been strong at the Presidents Cup, Scheffler has struggled markedly in the team competition before picking up a win Thursday. The Americans also entered with Wyndham Clark, Sahith Theegala, Brian Harman and Russell Henley as first-timers along with Max Homa, who has struggled this season but is undefeated in the Presidents Cup. Homa gets his first crack Friday.

Adam Scott leads the International team playing his 11th Presidents Cup. Only Sungjae Im and Si Woo Kim had winning marks entering this competition with one more than one Presidents Cup appearance to their name, while Mackenzie Hughes and Min Woo Lee suited up for the first time.

No matter how it shakes out at Royal Montreal, this Presidents Cup is going to continue being a whole lot of fun. International team competitions normally have rowdy crowds, and there's no reason to expect anything different this year in Canada -- especially given how loud fans were earlier this year at the TBC Canadian Open.
