Edwin De Los Santos stares down ‘irresponsible’ Keyshawn Davis after being stripped of WBO title

WBO Lightweight champion Keyshawn Davis was scheduled to make his first-ever title defense this Saturday (June 7, 2025) against Edwin De Los Santos inside Scope Arena in Norfolk, Va., airing live on ESPN before disaster happened at the weigh ins.

Davis failed to make weight subsequently stripped of his title after weighing in at 139.3 As a result, only De Los Santos — who weighed in at 134.7 — will be able to be crowned champion, while the now former champion will look for a win in order to save face after his major scale fail.

Davis is coming off a knockout win over Denys Berinchyk (see it again here), while De Los Santos will attempt to get back on track after losing to Shakur Stevenson for the vacant WBC Lightweight title.
