Current WBO Lightweight champion Keyshawn Davis is scheduled to make his first title defense this Saturday (June 7, 2025) against Edwin De Los Santos inside Scope Arena in Norfolk, Va., airing live on ESPN.
Watch their final press conference LIVE at 12 p.m. ET in the embedded video above.
Davis won the title earlier this year by knocking out Denys Berinchyk via a devastating body shot in the fourth round (see it again here). Now, “The Businessman” — who is also the WBO and IBF Inter-Continental Lightweight champion — is out to improve his current undefeated record of 13-0 with nine knockouts.
As for De Los Santos, he will be stepping into the ring for the first time since coming up short in his championship fight against Shakur Stevenson in Nov. 2023, which was for the vacant WBC Lightweight title.
Davis is on the rise in one of the most stacked divisions in boxing, which includes Ryan Garcia and Tank Davis. But you better think twice before you start comparing him to those two great fighters.
“All of those people they compare me to were pro before me for like four or five years,” Davis told CBS Sports. “I hunt these guys down so how will you put me in that same category? I don’t look at these guys like, ‘Yo, I’m supposed to be part of the ‘Four Kings.’ Yeah, I’m supposed to be up there but do you know how I look at myself? These guys are over here and I’m over here on this island. I’m me and these guys are them.
“Look, y’all don’t have to put me in these rankings. I’m going to be the greatest of all-time in this generation. I know that for a fact. These rankings, even if I’m No. 1, don’t make me No. 1. Put me on this island by myself because I’m different, I’m not like these other guys.”
