Apollo Tyres Replaces Dream11 as Team India’s Jersey Sponsor
by Northlines · NorthlinesNew Delhi, Sept 16: Team India has found a new jersey sponsor, with Apollo Tyres stepping in after Dream11 exited following the implementation of the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act 2025. The law barred online gaming platforms from such sponsorships, leaving India without a sponsor during the Asia Cup.
According to The Times of India, Apollo Tyres will pay the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) about ₹4.5 crore per match, higher than the ₹4 crore previously paid by Dream11. The deal runs from 2025 to 2027, covering nearly 130 international fixtures in India’s cricket calendar.
The bidding process began on September 2 after the BCCI invited Expressions of Interest. On September 16, Apollo Tyres emerged as the successful bidder, outpacing rivals Canva and JK Tyres.
The BCCI clarified that companies associated with gaming, betting, crypto, or tobacco were excluded from the sponsorship process.
Apollo Tyres’ association is expected to strengthen the brand’s global presence while ensuring continuity for Indian cricket’s commercial partnerships.
