Medeama Sporting Club new tactician Ibrahim Tanko has set sights on securing more titles for the club.

Tanko replaces Bosnian Nebojsa Kapor, who left his role as head coach of the Yellow and Mauve following the expiration of his contract.

The former Cameroon and Black Stars assistant coach signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with the club.

Speaking to Medi TV, Tanko, who recently parted ways with Accra Lions has promised to win more trophies for Medeama.

“I hope we are all going to enjoy and I’m sure the team will do well. I will tell them [the fans] that I will always give my best and I’m sure at the end they will all be happy,”

“We always want to be better. The success is there and like I said I’m here also to achieve something. So before the end of my tenure, I’m sure the cups will be more,” Coach Tanko said.

Tanko will face off against Legon Cities in his first match for the club on Sunday February 3, 2025, at the TnA Stadium.
