Swiss giants Young Boys tracking Ghanaian teen sensation Douglas Owusu

Swiss powerhouse BSC Young Boys have set their sights on Ghanaian youngster Douglas Owusu, who has been one of the standout performers in the ongoing Serbian Superliga season.

The 19-year-old winger, currently on the books of FK Radnik Surdulica, has attracted growing interest following a string of impressive displays in his debut campaign.

According to reports from Mozzart Sport, Young Boys scouts were present at the "Rajko Mitic" Stadium to watch Owusu in action during Radnik’s draw with Red Star Belgrade and are expected to monitor him again this weekend against OFK Belgrade.

The Ghanaian’s blistering pace, direct dribbling, and attacking flair have quickly made him an indispensable figure in Surdulica’s lineup.

Radnik officials believe Owusu’s potential could command a record-breaking transfer fee, possibly eclipsing the club’s all-time sale - the 1.3 million Euros move of Igor Zlatanovic to Mallorca in 2019.

Previous high-profile exports under sporting director Darko Gasic, including Milan Makaric and Uros Milovanovic, earned Radnik significant sums, but Owusu is seen as their next big star.

Having already netted three league goals, Owusu’s development and consistency could soon open doors to a major European move - one that would further underline Ghana’s growing influence in Serbian football.
